A Receptionist/Representative (Phone/Virtual) — Service Terms
Effective July 26, 2026 · Genie, Inc., Bellevue,
Washington · Questions: receptionist@genieforge.com
1. The service
Genie, Inc. ("we") provides an AI-powered answering service:
an automated agent answers calls forwarded to a number we
provide, takes messages according to instructions you approve,
and delivers summaries by email. The agent is a computer
program, not a person, and it discloses that on every call.
2. Billing
- First 30 days free; then $99/month plus applicable taxes,
billed by Genie, Inc. via Stripe. Cancel anytime — service
ends at the period's close, no partial refunds.
- Fair use: up to approximately 400 answered minutes per
month. If you regularly exceed it, we'll talk — an
upgrade or a cap, never a surprise charge.
3. Your responsibilities — including legal compliance
- You agree to use the service lawfully and you are
responsible for compliance with all laws that apply to
YOUR business and YOUR callers — federal, state,
and local — including call-recording and consent laws
(many states, including Washington and California,
require all-party consent), telemarketing rules, and any
industry-specific requirements (e.g., health or legal
confidentiality obligations).
- Calls handled by the service may be recorded and
transcribed to produce your summaries and to improve
quality; the agent states this to callers. You must not
instruct us to remove that disclosure.
- You confirm you control the phone number you forward and
that forwarding it is permitted by your carrier
agreements.
- You will not use the service to collect payment card
data, for emergency lines, or for unlawful, deceptive, or
harassing purposes.
4. Important limits
- Not for emergencies. The service is not a
substitute for emergency dispatch; the agent directs
emergency callers to 911.
- AI accuracy. Summaries and transcripts
are generated automatically and may contain errors.
Verify important details (numbers, names, commitments)
before acting on them.
- Availability is not guaranteed; scheduled and emergency
maintenance happen. Our sole obligation for extended
outages is a pro-rata credit at our discretion.
5. Liability and disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any
kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Genie, Inc.'s
total liability arising from the service is limited to the
fees you paid in the three months before the claim, and we are
not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages,
including lost business from missed or mis-transcribed calls.
You agree to indemnify Genie, Inc. against claims arising from
your unlawful use of the service or your failure to meet the
responsibilities in Section 3.
6. Data
Call recordings, transcripts, and summaries are processed to
deliver the service (including by our infrastructure providers)
and retained for a reasonable period. We don't sell your data
or your callers' data. Deletion requests:
receptionist@genieforge.com.
7. General
These terms are governed by Washington law. We may update them
with notice by email; continued use after notice is acceptance.
If any clause is unenforceable, the rest stand.
Plain-language summary, not a substitute for the
terms above: she answers when you can't, you get the morning
email, you follow your state's laws about phone calls, neither
of us uses her for emergencies, and either of us can end it
any month.
